How could we ignore something like that?

My "Lost" Blog

For me, it seems the show is becoming more of a show about fate and time being linear. I think the purpose of the show is to make the audience really think about free-will and determinism. I think the producers of the show and all the writers already had the history and timeline mapped out from the beginning of the series... from the first people that lived on the island (those who created the black smoke, and all those ruins--possibly the others?), to the dharma initiative people, to the passengers of the plane that crashed, and to however the whole thing is going to end. I think they had already come up with the entire history, and now, with the whole going back and forward through time thing, they have a way of revealing some of it. And in slowly revealing some of this history, they will get us to ponder, "do we really have free will?". I mean, if we had free will, we would have 2 choices. 2 choices that are neither forced upon us. But how could it have been possible for the producers to have thought of the entire history/timeline of the show, and yet whatever the Lostees did, they could not change the outcome. In the beginning of the series it seemed like they had the free-will... the ability to make their own destinies... but no... we'll realize this season that they never really did. And in the last season, when we've accepted this, we'll be able to just sit back and relax, and have all our questions answered.

Time Flies!

Man, I can't believe I've been here for 2.5 months now. I think I've pretty much gotten use to living here. I've embraced this small town. But I still miss living in the city. I know for sure I'll be back in Toronto, but what I'm not so sure of is when. I want to make sure I got a lot saved for traveling in the summer and when I come back. I have some plans in my mind, but I'm definitely open for other things. I'm staying patient, and waiting for God to show me whats next. This past summer I was sure where He wanted me to be, now I'm not really sure.

Anyway, thats it for now.

Firefly

"Firefly" is officially the best show ever. It was short lived (only 13 episodes), but man... what an awesome series. And the movie "Serenity" tied everything together nicely.

Here's to Joss Whedon and his awesome ideas!
